Défoncé

Objective
Redesign packaging for confectionary company, Défoncé. Using the Défoncé brand book, interpret elements onto new, cannabis compliant packaging. There will be 4 different SKU's, but the overall packaging design should remain visually consistent. 

Solution
We [Uneka] established a cross-functional, in-house team of Structural Design, Graphic Design, Project Management and Manufacturing. I was responsible for all graphic design efforts, generating presentation materials, and providing production ready files for production.

The previous packaging incorporated linear patterns and various bold colors to distinguish flavors. When designing different packaging layouts, I explored composition, hierarchy of elements, and the use of pattern and color. The version selected by the client was an improved version of their pre-existing packaging. I redesigned the triangular texture to be a universal asset, manually typeset nutritional information, and generated production ready artwork for multiple SKU's.
